How long do I have to stay in Chiangmai?
There are generally 2 phases of dental implant procedure.
Phase I: Implant placement
Initial consultation with the dentist is always be the first thing to do. Primary examination for example x-ray, CT Scan might be taken at the first day.
Implant post placement into the bone will be done under local anesthesia. This procedure takes 1-3 hours. You will have to stay in Chiangmai for 2-3 days to be sure that everything will be OK. After that you can leave Chiangmai. The computer guide procedure will be used for precise and accurate implant placement.
Stitch off the suture 1-2 weeks after the surgery. You can also do this at any dental office at your convenience.
Phase II: Making a dental crown
This 2nd stage will be followed after 4-6 months as waiting the bone get healing and fuse to the implant post. We will take either an impression or 3D oral scan to make a crown. You will have to stay in Chiangmai about 2 weeks for getting the crown from a laboratory, try-in, and final check if any minor adjustment required.
Note: A bone grafting may take place in some case. A bone graft is a procedure that replaces and regenerates lost bone, and can also restore proper facial contour.
